The Power of Dress. This editorial illustration series was created for Chef & Karriär, a Swedish business magazine focused on leadership and career development.
The feature explores how clothing influences leadership perception — how style communicates authority, confidence, credibility and emotional distance in professional environments.
The visual concept combines classic tailoring, structured silhouettes and symbolic elements with a contemporary collage aesthetic. By merging photography-inspired figures with illustrated garments and textured backgrounds, the imagery reflects the layered nature of leadership identity: tradition versus modernity, confidence versus vulnerability, personal style versus corporate culture.
The series spans multiple spreads and highlights themes such as dress codes, visual hierarchy and the psychology of appearance in executive roles.
This project demonstrates my approach to editorial illustration: concept-driven, narrative-based and visually refined — designed to strengthen and elevate long-form journalism.
